Well, we moved to the desert and it's getting more rain then it's had in year!!! What's up with that!!! And my 2 girls love it! Thank goodness for tile floors! The Husky hates to have her paws dried! The Shephard thinks she needs her head dried over and over! And she likes to go out and lay in puddles! Geesh! It's dry today but expecting more this week.

...and here in southwest Washington, we're behind in our rainfall! We're having beautiful sunny days with very low temperatures. Unusual for us.

I'm really looking forward to nice sunny days. I don't mind the rain in moderations. But when your trying to potty train a puppy, I could do without it. We have this horrible pecan tree next door and soon it will be history, plus the house. The leaves are such a mess my husband is constantly raking them up. The puppy is bringing most of the leaves in the house with him. I've been really complaining lately. We have tile floors, but it's still a mess.

Our two are complete opposites when it comes to water. Rob loves it, and has really been enjoying zooming through the puddles. And he thinks being toweled off is the greatest thing next to sheep.

Briar is a miss priss and hates being wet and hates being toweled. You should hear the grumbling she does.

But I am really quite tired of all the rain we have had here in So Cal. Enough's enough.

my dog Cosmo a 6 lb papillon was taught to go out in all sorts of weather to do her business. i used to say to her, if i can go out in the rain, so can you! this attitude and ton's of praise and petting makes her always want to please me. i knew from the start small cutesy dogs can be manipulative. i give the advice of patience, love and steadfasty consistency. dogs on the whole aim to please and it's up to the owner to the owner to provide that opportunity. dogs are smarter than you think

I feel your pain - it has been raining non-stop (or so it seems) here since October. Wet dogs, wet towels, wet floor. Then the rain stops and we have.......MUD! Muddy dogs, muddy towels, muddy floors. The ground is so saturated that the mud stays forever! I think we have had less than 15 days where the ground has been "hard enough" to not be called mud.....if only it were snow!

P.S. Both our labs love the rain, snow and getting toweled! And they both must have equal towel time or we have pouting - aren't dogs a hoot!

I guess were getting more rain tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. Yuk. Also they say the winds will be horrific. I'm not looking forward to this. I guess I'll stay home this weekend and put away and sort Christmas decorations. Every year I say I'm going give some of my decorations to the Salvation Army. This year for sure. Also stand out in the rain with the puppy so he can keep up with the potty training.

Well we are into snow and ice now, but even with rain our schnauzee thinks it is just great and runs and jumps in puddles or snow drifts, then when he is fully drenched or covered with snow he finds me and jumps in my lap before I can react. However our other baby hates other weather besides warm and sunny. He is so funny if it is raining or snowing he sticks only his head out then looks at me like its my fault. He can "cross his legs" for a long time He has not gone in the house unless he has been really sick, so eventually he goes out but it is for only as long as it takes no sniffing and no dilly dallieing...too funny....L
