I bought a new Lance 981 in December 05. The dealer sat the camper down on Fifth wheel rails in the truck and busted the bottom of the camper. The dealer poked a hole in the vinyl floor. Had to replace the Microwave twice, the DVD player three times, the converter, the TV, had slide problems, and other things. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. I have talked to Jack Cole and Jim Allen at Lance about the problems. Their position on the matter is they have no control over the dealer, they can't make the dealer do anything. So no matter how good Lance campers are, they are no better than how the company stands behind them. And I know they don't stand behind them!
See how Lance left me holding the BAG.

Call Rhonda at Galaxy Camper at 909-988-4744,she has some pull with the factory.She has gotten Lance to fix even some out of warranty items on my Lance 815.

Hold on here, how can you hold screw ups by a dealer against the factory?

Sonny's Camp and Travel in Duncan SC. I had the camper back two times for the same warranty work, and still have problems. It's 160 miles from my house to the dealer, getting expensive on my part taking it back for work. If they don't fix it the first two times I don't think they will fix it the next time.

I think Lance should make their dealers stand behind their name. Lance has told me they can't make Sonny's do anything. Not good company policy IMHO.

Just did a search on them. Found their website but no TC's. Are they even a Lance dealer? Throws a big flag up to me. I take that back, they are. I would have went a little South of you and dealt with the dealer in Sevierville. They deal exclusively with TC's not fifth wheels and travel trailers. Just my .02

Here's their website Sonny's Camp and Travel. Go to inventory, then click on truck campers. Lance lists them on their website as a dealer.
