Man, I love this stuff! O/P requests an opinion for a situation he later admits he's already ackowledged he knows is questionable and 6 pages later all that SRW vs DRW & LDT vs MDT is still spewing forth like the proverbial steam from "old faithful".
We should have all gone back to our beers and chips in front of the telly when he stated without embarrassment "I added a leaf to my 2500 to make a 3500"!
Now I ask you, are we going to adequately educate anyone who agrees that adding bits and pieces to any LDT is going to be enough to move it from being inadequate for the task it was previously doing, and ackowledged as being so by it's owner, to an even greater set of demands to be placed upon it? all motivated by saving money? Whoooeee! If ya can't afford to pay the band ya shouldn't have thrown a dance!
C'mon folks we're being had here, this has simply been entertainment for a cadre of folks who will believe anything Detroit has told them for the last 40 years related to that sticker on the door and a changed set of rear gears.
And to the poster who lends credence to modifying pick-up trucks that lead to the success of the Robert's boys well, they're not adding axles to pick-ups now, are they? Those days are long gone and rightly so, I can remember well the use of the family sedan with it's little wimpy drum brakes being hooked to large heavy travel trailers for vacation purposes but that ended when better stuff became available. You can bet your bippy that Roberts starts off with an HDT platform and gets certified upfitters to perform any mod's. today!

yes...you can also delete it on your forums list and that will keep you from getting anymore of whatever post you were subscribed to before that you don't want to get now.

I have the truck in my sig. Does that mean since i put extra leaf spring all around my truck does that mean I am in line with a F450?

You are to funny. I thought about the same thing and added 2 extra springs. I now have a long nose Pete. Wish I had gotten it out of the garage before the transformation.

Not until you have pulled a 17,500 lb trailer East and West with a MDT ( FL M2 106 or something similar) will you ever know.
