I currently have a TT, but plan on upgrading to a 5th. I found a 1 year old Husky EZ roller 5th wheel hitch locally for $100.

It slides/ rolls about 9" from what I can tell, and I have a 2500HD short bed.

Is this a good hitch, and should I go ahead and get it. Seems like a good deal to me, which is why I am considering going ahead and getting it.

Here's a link: Husky EZ Roller

Thanks

You will get a lot of buy this or buy that comments to this one, but Husky makes a good product and has a good reputation. Be sure to get or download instructions and maintenance info so you can inspect it for wear. Parts replaced are cheaper than dropping a fiver. Enjoy!

I have been VERY happy with my Husky 16K fifth wheel hitch. I think you should grab it!
At worst, you may have to find the mounting kit to match your specific truck. but, that shouldn't be too difficult.
good luck.

My first fifth wheel hitch was a used one, and with a lot of them they have seen very little use. Check it out carefully, and you should be okay with it.

We got a DSP slider with our used trailer. We had to install it ourselves as two dealers refused, they only would do the job if they supplied the hitch and mumbled something about liability if the used one failed. Have a qualified tech inspect the hitch and you should be o.k.

I have had a Husky 16K slider for nearly 4 years and I am extremely happy with it. I bought this hitch on the advice of a friend who was and still is happy with his. You will also need the rails, pins, and install kit for your truck. It sounds like you have found yourself a heck of a deal.
