Were going to Laughlin in March and thought it would be great
to make it over to Sedona and flagstaff. We not sure about the
weather in Mid March. Any advice would be helpful.

My uncle was telling me a story about a colleague of his, that was driving through Flagstaff in June. He was the only one with snowchains in his car, and continued driving on I40 even with a few inches of snow on the roadway. His experience driving school buses in Pennsylvania sure helped!
I can not tell you what the weather will be like in March, at 7,000 feet elevation. Just that it might be really bright sunshine, snow or something in between.
You can check Weather.com and look for monthly averages for Flagstaff AZ. This will give you an idea of the weather over the past 5 years for each day of the month. I would expect the record low to be around 25 for March. But it will average much warmer.

Thanks... Well I guess that was a bad idea, were retired and want to go but the timing mid March and the weather Not Good. I will get the map out and start over.

Excellent choice. Just move farther south. Bisbee, Tombstone, Tucson, Casa Grande....all nice places to visit. Lots to do and see in Arizona. Lots of campgrounds and campsites also....enjoy your trip....Dennis

A number of years ago we were at the Grand Canyon 2nd or 3rd week of March. Woke up to a foot of snow and mid teens. Drove in the snow to Sedona. Woke up next morning to a foot of snow. Headed towards Mesa. Went over some pass near Pason and got into a darn blizzard. Been there in March other times and wore shorts. Just watch the weather and be prepared to abort or sit a spell. The snows that time of year usually melt in 24-48 hours.

Mid-March in Sedona SHOULD be beautiful. But, as noted above, snow and cold weather is possible.

Sedona doesn't get that much snow. We've seen an inch or so and it's usually gone by noon. Nights are usually below freezing but days are glorious. Coming across I-40 and Flagstaff may pick up a lot of snow or very little, depending. The area forecasts are usually pretty good, so a quick check before you leave Laughlin will suffice. Once down off the plateau at Flagstaff and you'll be fine. Be sure to use I-17 to head south. 89A thru Oak Creek Canyon is beautiful, but more susceptible to snow, and other closings, and usually cleared later than I-17.
We're usually in the Cottonwood/Sedona area around that time and never have had a problem.

Obviously, any weather is possible. However, we've been there in March and found it was excellent, even though Flagstaff was much colder and getting snow. I think you should plan on going there, but have a back-up in case the unlikely happens. Tucson is a great back-up place, IMO.
