I must agree we have the same approach as gaetzchamp. Our eight month daughter sleeps in a pack-n-play on the table bed. We sleep on the king size bed nearest to the table bed and often check on her with a flashlight many times during the night. Additionally, when it is cold and warmth is a concern, we place her in an infant sleeping bag between the two of us. Basically, we've tried many things and camping means being flexible At the end of the day, what's most important is everyone is together. Sleep tight!

We use portable bed rails across the end of the bunk to contain our 2 year old. This works fine for naps during the day (and keeps him in at night, too).
Our biggest problem, however, is keeping him warm at night. We haven't camped where the nightime temp was above about 40-45* F, though. We put long johns on him under his PJs, covered him with blankets and he squirms out. Switched to sleeping bag, worked a little better but he still won't stay in.
Next trip (not till September, as we have a baby coming in a month), I'll just sleep in the bunk with him and mom will sleep with the baby.

We also utilize a small playpen on the dinette for our 2 yr old to sleep in. We use ceramic heaters when it's very cold (as we do camp in Dec. sometimes). However, there is a very warm sleep sac that you can buy for your infant to sleep in and it's indorsed by the SIDS alliance. Here's a link that shows a pic of it:

This sleepsac goes over their regular pajamas.
