Memorial Day Weekend Travel Plans on the Rise
Gas prices may have slightly increased over the past month — from $2.05 for regular gas in April to the current average of $2.29 — but these prices still beat those of this time last year, hands down. And so with a more hopeful economy, travel plans are looking good across the nation with 32.4 million Americans expected to take a trip over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to a recent AAA survey. That’s a 1.5-percent increase from this 2008 holiday weekend. And nearly 83 percent of these travelers are expected to take a road trip as opposed to traveling by air or train.

Through the survey, AAA has also projected that Americans will travel an average of 620 miles this Memorial Day weekend. If you’re one of these Americans planning your holiday road trip … Be safe and Happy Trailering!
