People come to The Rally for camaraderie, entertainment, seminars, exhibits, new rigs, a little bit of this and a little bit of that … It’s the biggest happening of the year for the RV enthusiast.
This year’s event will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, from July 22-25, and it’s not too late to sign up! More than 1,000 new units will be on display; 500 booths will show off the latest in RV products and services; industry experts will engage RVers in more than 150 seminars; rally-goers will have the opportunity to also enjoy headline entertainment by Bob Newhart and Tanya Tucker, Rally dog show, youth and teen program, Derby Hat fashion show, pet adoption, golf tournament, tours of the local area and a talent contest.
“The Rally’s Got Talent” invites all Rally attendees to strut their stuff at the final night’s show. Among the judges for this contest will be Trailer Life, MotorHome and Camping Life magazines publisher Bob Livingston, Good Sam Club member benefits director Sue Bray, and full-time RVer and renowned outdoor adventure and survival expert Brian Brawdy.
Brawdy has become a well-known spokesperson for off-the-grid living throughout the years. He will have on display his Lance 1181 camper and 2285 Lance Trailer (aka his Self Reliant Mobile Residence, or SRMR) to promote preparedness through self-reliance. Hosted right at his SRMR, Brawdy will be broadcasting a live show on RV living off the grid. And for all rally-goers who stop by the SRMR, Brawdy will be teaching the skills to survive in your RV just in case of an emergency situation, sharing his knowledge of how he conserves resources by harvesting the natural energies of the sun, wind and rain to both sojourn and to survive comfortably.
