Bully Dog Technologies offers its Cummins Performance Controller, which is said to increase the performance of the 24-valve turbodiesel by 60 hp and its torque output by 159 lb-ft, both at 2,000 rpm. The Controller is designed not to exceed the electronic limits of the Bosch fuel pump and, according to the company, alters the ignition timing and fuel delivery, which results in very little rise, if any, in the exhaust gas temperatures. The increase in engine low-rpm torque output is said to improve overall driveability and throttle response. Bully Dog Technologies, Dept.
