Forget Gulliver … former governor of Maine Angus King’s five-and-a-half month journey circumnavigating the United States in a Class A motorhome, as detailed in his book “Governor’s Travels,” has lots of adventure, RV insight and heartwarming moments of family and love.
When King decided to leave politics and explore America in RV, he first had to choose an RV. In the opening of the book he discusses how to choose the right RV for your needs and how he decided on a brand-new 2003 Newmar Dutch Star. With his wife and two children in tow, King set out from Maine in early November on an epic journey, meeting fascinating people, visiting both important historical sites and off-the-beaten-track attractions, and most importantly, bonding with his family and creating lasting memories. Throughout the book, King also comments on how he handled various transitions during his life in order to truly enjoy life and realize what’s important.
