Afraid to fire up the noisy AC generator for fear your fellow campers will form an angry
mob and expel you from the campground? Yamaha’s EF3000iSEB portable AC generator is
designed to keep the din at a minimum while simultaneously running a 13,500-BTU air
conditioner, power converter and possibly even a microwave, according to the company. The
genset features Smart Throttle technology, which Yamaha claims automatically reduces the
engine’s speed to precisely match the load, decreasing fuel consumption and noise. A
muffler, intake silencer and sound-absorbing-material construction further keep things
quiet. The genset’s Yamaha Boost Technology senses when extra power is required and boosts
the output for up to 10 seconds to help appliances and tools fire up quickly and
efficiently, according to the manufacturer.
