Chevrolet’s new top-of-the-line Silverado High Country model for 2014 will have the highest price and most luxurious features of any Silverado pickup to date. It will fit in the lineup just above the top Silverado LTZ, and will only be offered as a Crew Cab. The 2014 model is the first time this full-size truck series has been restyled since the 2007 model year. They’re taller and sharper in styling, yet more fuel-efficient, more refined and loaded with features. The exterior is a bit fancier, with more bright trim, and the High Country gets special 20-inch chrome rims plus a unique grille, projector headlamps, and more chrome details.

The 2014 model comes with plenty of standard premium features.

The 2014 Silverado High Country offers unique interior colors and top-notch materials in the cabin. There are leather seats with contrasting stitching and piping and they are heated and cooled. A premium Bose audio system is standard, as well as front and rear park assist and Chevrolet MyLink connectivity with an eight-inch touch screen. Options include a heated steering wheel, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warnings, adjustable pedals, and an integrated trailer-brake controller.

A new 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine rated 355-horsepower will be standard on the High Country. Chevrolet claims it will provide fuel mileage of up to 23 mpg highway. A 6.2-liter V-8 will also be available for buyers who want even more power.

Chevrolet hasn’t announced pricing or tow ratings for the High Country yet, but the base retail price of the 2014 Silverado is $32,710, and a fully optioned High Country could be in the $55,000 range. Expect High Country models of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado to be in dealers in the fourth quarter of this year.
