To change the oil, position the generator so a disposable container can be placed below it. Here the generator straddles two stools above an empty snack-food container.
Check the owner’s manual (often available on the generator manufacturer’s website) to find out how much oil is required, and estimate that amount using the hash marks on the side of the new oil container.
Use the dipstick to check the oil level.
