Q. We own a 25-foot 1994 Holiday Rambler trailer with a spare tire on the back. We would like to know if it would cause undue harm to have a receiver placed on the end of the trailer to enable us to attach a Yakima bike rack. We would be carrying three bikes on this rack.

A. A bicycle rack and three bikes are not a great deal of weight, so your plan should be fine. Just make sure the receiver fabrication work is done by a qualified welder/mechanic who can do a reliable job.
