The fresh new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 has an interior finished in ebony leather, with steering wheel controls and a redesigned instrument panel and console.

Sierra’s cab is engineered to provide you and your passengers with a quiet, comfortable experience. A valved exhaust system reduces engine noise
and hydraulic powertrain and body mounts damp vibrations. The latest Sierra offers GMC IntelliLink hands-free connectivity and color touch navigation. Other features include an optional center console big enough to store hanging file folders, laptops and more. There are USB ports and 12V charging outlets, plus an available 120V power outlet and locking under-seat storage on SLE models with front bench seating.

2014-gmc-sierra1500-interiorThe standard 4.3L V6 is rated 285 HP and 305 lb-ft of torque, and has an EPA-estimated MPG 18 city/24 highway (2WD). The 6.2L V8 is the most powerful engine in a light duty pickup, with 420 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Sierra’s optional EcoTec3 5.3L V8 engine offers the best V8 fuel economy in any fullsize pickup, with an EPA-estimated 16 MPG City and 23 MPG highway (2WD). Rated 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque, the EcoTec 5.3L V8 also features an available class-leading maximum trailer rating of 11,500 pounds when ordered with the available Max Trailering Package (Double cab, 4×2). Direct Injection, Active Fuel Management and Variable Valve Timing technologies make these engines more powerful and efficient than ever.

2014 GMC Sierra 1500 sideAll EcoTec3 engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Two and four wheel drive systems are available. Even during sudden maneuvers StabiliTrak with Traction Control helps you stay on course by managing braking and throttle. Available Hill Descent Control allows for a controlled descent in rough terrain. An available Automatic Locking Rear Differential delivers for increased traction. New electric variable-assist power rack-and-pinion steering system improves efficiency. Driver Shift Control lets you shift gears up and down with the tap of the shift selector, while the Trailer Brake Controller provides fingertip control and monitoring of your trailer brakes.
