BMW is updating its X3 SUV for 2007, with styling changes and more
power. It comes standard with BMW’s innovative xDrive all-wheel drive
and an enhanced Dynamic Stability Control system that works in concert
with the xDrive. The X3 3.0si will be powered by a 3.0-liter inline
six-cylinder engine rated 260 hp at 6,600 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque at
2,500 rpm. That up 35 hp and 11 lb-ft from 2006, for improved towing
Either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission can be
selected. The Dynamic Stability Control system in the 2007 X3 3.0si
includes all of the latest safety enhancements. Newly styled 17-inch
wheels are standard, with 18- and 19-inch wheels available as options.
The 2007 BMW X3 3.0si will arrive in U.S. showrooms early this fall. Pricing and tow ratings have not been set.
