Congress May Raise CAFE

Unchanged for a decade, Congress may raise Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards
from their current 20.7 mpg for light trucks and SUVs, and 27.5 mpg for cars. Stricter
standards may force automakers to downsize, lighten and reduce power on new vehicles. This
would reduce the choices available to trailer-towing enthusiasts.
