Replacing Dual-Pane Windows: Step 12

Outdoor Adventure Box

After the window is securely in place, apply a fine bead of high-quality, outdoor-rated sealant to the top and sides of the window. Use a fine bead to prevent getting the sealant on the outside wall. If you get any on the paint use a solvent-based bug and tar remover to clean it up before it cures. Allow the sealant to cure for 24 hours before exposing it to water.
